Sorry for the long delay in updates on the site and this blog, it's been a hectic time! But we finally got around to doing some much overdue fixing and coding on the site.
The profile-RSS feeds are now working again, most usefull for people that use it linked to their blogs, lifestreams or perhaps even twitter accounts.
The achievements that have been in the system for a while, all had scores assigned to them by the developers. Now that we have more and more games using the achievement system, we also started displaying the RXPoints a player has. These scores are visible on the profile-bar of a player (under their name/avatar). To get more points, simply unlock more achievements in games that support the RX-Achievements ! In the future we plan on including day-leader awards and topscores into the RXPoints.
For developers, we added the option of linking to Youtube movies of your games, these will be shown on the game profile page. Find the option on the game-editing page. We also fixed some small bugs on the back-end, one of those should be the uploading of screenshots (finally!?)

Can you interface with us?
For developers out there, we have a nice new goodie: the RumbleX API. The API will allow third party developers to fetch data from our network and display them in any way you want. From developing blog-widgets to fullblown applications or linking into your own social network, it should all be possible.
Since we are still developing the new RumbleX site the API is obviously not complete yet and is currently hosted at a temporary location (beta.rumblex.com/api).
However we do like to hear your feedback and input on how or what the API should do and is doing. The first two methods are already live and kicking, and you can find more information, documentation and resources at our API pages: http://beta.rumblex.com/api

Tags and Ratings
Tags are now working, you can click on the tags to do a quick search, or just type multiple tagwords to search for games. The tags that a game has are now displayed underneath the title on the game page, this way it's easy to find the same type of games quickly.
Also some work on the rating system for games, now showing the score in the top-right corner next to the name of a game. Only visible if a game has atleast one rating.

First services are served
RumbleX 3.0 is really coming together, with various new services and the new design really showing a clearer look at the community.
Multiple social network services are being implemented with Friendfeeds, Twitter, and Pownce being amongst the first. So when you play a new game for the first time, these services will get notified, same for having the highest score at the end of a day, unlocking achievements, or having a new top-100 ranking.
More services will be added over time just to make sure we cover the widest audience possible.

Connecting your gameing habbits
Welcome to the opening of the official RumbleX blog, we will be keeping you updated on changes and news concering rumbleX. The first line of changes we have on our todo list are to connect your rumbleX to your other social networks in one way or another.
Imagine seeing your new highscores popup on your friendfeed, or have your twitter updated with the game you are playing right now. These changes won't happen overnight, as we are still pretty much busy with developing new games every day. We are addicted users of all these networks ourselves, and love to show off our own highscores to the world.
stay tuned!
